One of the most coveted target audiences marketers strive to reach is the C-suite. And for good reason. In the U.S. alone, there are more than 630,000 senior executives at companies with more than 250 employees and these executives represent a lot of spending power: approximately $1.3 trillion in business purchasing decisions each year.
So how can marketers reach this audience? Where do these executives spend their time? A recent survey conducted by Forbes Magazine and Gartner gave us some insight as to where they are spending LESS time:
- 59% are spending less time with magazines
- 50% are spending less time with newspapers
- 48% are spending less time with TV
- 46% are spending less time with radio and trade publications
So where are they spending more time looking for business information?
The Web. According to that same Forbes/Gartner study 67% of C-level executives use the Internet as their #1 source for business information. That's up 37% since 2004.
