We have our own Thanksgiving tradition around here – it’s called A
JoyFULL Holiday. And as our agency has grown, so has the tradition.
For the past three years, we’ve turned our focus this week of
Thanksgiving to giving back. With each team member bringing in canned foods, we
get together to build a “tree” in our lobby. This year, we collected nearly 1,300 cans that will go to the
North Texas Food Bank after the holiday season.
Part two of this effort is an outreach to raise awareness of the
NTFB’s need now and throughout the year. A member of Feeding America, this
wonderful nonprofit social benefit organization distributes donated, purchased
and prepared foods through a network of 300 member agencies and 1,000 feeding
and education programs in 13 north Texas counties. This year, NTFB provided
access to nearly 33 million nutritious meals.
We invite you to join OnMessage in supporting the North Texas Food
Bank. For every $1 you give, they can provide 3 hungry people with a meal. No one
should go hungry during the holidays, or any day. You can make a difference.
