Play some one-on-one with your prospects.

While our world expands and technology continues to make it easier to communicate from afar, marketing professionals can’t forget the value of a face-to-face dialog with customers and prospects. Yes, large trade shows and conferences have taken a hit over the past year, but small one-on-one events are making a big come back.

We can’t allow the latest wave of digital marketing to keep us from having what Harvard’s Edward M. Hallowell called human moments — “authentic psychological encounters that can happen only when two people share the same physical space.” All the branding in the world can’t replace this kind of connection.

At OnMessage, we’re big on face time with our clients and prospects, and we try to get it as much as possible. One example is our annual March Madness Mixer, which is coming up on March 25th. It’s the perfect opportunity for us to host clients, partners, and prospects in a casual, conversational, and fun setting during the NCAA tournament. (We hope you’ll join us.)

So while it seems that life and business operate at hyper-speed, take some time to slow down and connect one-on-one with your current and prospective customers. You might find that it’s the perfect game plan for growing your business.
