Thanks to all of you who responded to last week’s survey. We’ve tabulated the results and here is what you had to say...
When we asked you what qualities you value most in an ad agency or marketing partner, survey participants placed creative expertise and messaging expertise at the top of the list.
Creative expertise 54%
Messaging expertise 50%
Marketing expertise 41%
Digital media expertise 29%
Other: (please explain) 20%
Social media expertise 12%
(The “Other” responses stated the importance of your agency or marketing partner having an in-depth understanding of your business or industry.)
We found it interesting that despite all the hype and buzz about social media and digital, survey participants didn’t value those areas of expertise as much as all of the other categories.
Our second question focused on the areas of marketing that you want to improve the most over the next 6 to 12 months. Those individuals who completed the survey said they would like to improve in the areas of Strategic Planning, Messaging and Campaign Execution.
We weren’t surprised that these three areas rose to the top of the list, considering they are truly the staples to marketing success.
